Testimonials

Here's what our supporters say

Having the Community Garden will serve as a hub of health and well-being offering an array of benefits to patients…the nature of the garden encourages social connections, creating a supportive network that enhances emotional resilience and combats isolation. As residents collaborate in nurturing the garden, a sense of shared purpose and community will develop.

Practice Manager, Haxby Group Practice

As well as making use of the increase in nature this project would bring, and the wellbeing benefits, the garden would further enhance the curriculum links we can offer our pupils both though classes and more informally through suggestions for families to visit and imbed the learning undertaken at school.

Headteacher, Headlands Primary School, Haxby

The garden will provide space for nature and an opportunity to increase biodiversity within this urban environment. It will provide a place for well being, learning and pleasure for communities.  Plans to ensure the garden is accessible will reach individuals and groups that might otherwise find connecting with nature difficult. St Nicks looks forward to working alongside the Community Garden.
